“I was into gymnastics for 10 years, post which I joined a musical. Pursuing my passion for dancing, I opened a dance company in Bangalore and taught there for 8 years. Salsa, as a dance form, intrigued me and I practiced till I got really good at it. After setting up LDI with Kirthi, we started getting a lot of opportunities to perform, compete and even got trained by international instructors.

For me, LDI is a platform to inspire people to take up dancing as well as reach out to more dancers and grow the community. Teaching enables me to become better as a dancer every day. I’ve learnt a lot by travelling and learning and now it feels good to give back. Salsa is social form of dancing; hence, ease and confidence are a must and when that grows in a student, it gives me a sense of achievement.”
